Had a whole set of ge profile appliances for 6 years. Microwave has been repaired multiple times. Fridge broke after only 6 years and would cost more to repair so what do you do. In order to keep family of appliances reordered new fridge to match. It doesn’t. Setup is completely different with new fridge and honestly not for the better. Top shelf has less space due to new water filter setup and a huge tunnel running across top. Unit is also smaller in height by about 2” to 3” which also makes a difference in space. No beverage center available anymore. Freezer definitely different with ice storage again not for the better. Handles don’t match old version(s). To top everything off not as many options on digital screen with cups of water etc…. Paying more for less. Only hope I have is it lasts longer then the last one but only time will tell. Probably should have replaced everything with a different brand

LED lights need better quality control

We bought a GE Profile Refrigerator which had a 1year warranty on all parts of the refrigerator. The freezer LED light failed after 18 months and cannot be changed by the customer. An LED light is designed to work for 15 years or more. This light failed after 18 months, and I feel it should be covered under the warranty as a defect in materials.

I have always purchased GE appliances in the past, and I recently replaced my GE Refrigerator after 10 plus years with a GE Profile for its quality and features.

Replacement Refrigerator

I love this refrigerator. I had purchased an older model in 2004 and it worked perfectly. The only issue I have with this model are the smaller door shelves.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Issue With Water Dispenser

This is second time purchasing this fridge, and both have had some issues with water dripping from the area of the water dispenser. Not sure if condensation from ice maker or freezer area, or water dispenser itself. Will keep an eye on it to see if it goes away eventually.

It is not unusual to see a few drops of water dripping from the dispenser after having dispensed water. This is caused by pressure on the water line and changes in temperature causing some condensation to form and drip. On models with a grill drip tray, the tray will need to be removed periodically and wiped dry.
