Our 5.5 year old Cafe model recently stopped working and replaced with the profile model. Hope this one will last a few years longer

Not well designed

The fridge looks nice but it isn’t well designed. The fridge doesn’t have useful space. When the door is open it rattles.

Interior is too compact, limited space.

Interior shelving is too compact and difficult reach in space. I find I am constantly rearranging food to make space for something else needing refrigeration. The freezer is very limited in space for such a costly unit. The unit came supplied with our new house which has all GE Profile appliances. Refrigerator is the only product I am disappointed in and will replace.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent temperature control

A bit short of space due to its counter depth but does a great job of controlling temperature. Food stays very fresh. Freezer also controls temperature very well and ice is prolific. Ultimately I wish I had bought a French door refrigerator, but given that this came with the new purchase I’m completely happy with his performance

Sleek and looks great

Looks great and needed counter depth for aesthetic reasons. Ok for 2 people but it is small! Have difficulty when shopping for holidays so good thing to have a back up. Water dispenser in door leaks and there is water in the tray all of time. Have also had trouble with the freezer staying cool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Side by Side Fridge

It's great to get back to a side by side Fridge (had a French Door) and back to GE appliances. The unit looks great, and even though it is a counter depth it holds a lot on both the refrigerator and freezer sides.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Profile Side by Side SS Refrigerator Cab Depth

We recently purchased our 3rd GE refrigerator. Due to kitchen cabinet layout, we had to purchase a cabinet depth (our first). For the extra cost of a Profile, it has been a disappointment compared to our other slightly larger refrigerators. Issues: no egg tray, small inside due to cabinet depth design, annoying open door alarm and another poor owners instruction document.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
