Fridge looks nice, however completely useless

No storage space at all. The "ice maker" takes up 40% of the freezer space.

Not as well made as my previous Profile!

It's way too dark inside. Needs back lighting so you can see what's on the shelves!! The drawers don't slide easily and there's not as much room inside as in my previous Profile.

An OK Refrigerator

This refrigerator came with the house. We did not select this unit. Overall I would give it a C rating.
1. The freezer does not make much ice.
2. The freezer does not keep ice cream any where near solid enough

Thanks for posting a review. We appreciate your feedback. Here are few suggestions that may help resolve the issues you are experiencing.
Fine quality ice cream, with high cream content, will normally require slightly lower temperatures than more "airy" already packaged brands with low cream content.
It will be necessary to experiment to determine the location in the freezer and the control dial setting to keep your favorite ice cream at the right serving temperature. Be aware that the rear of the freezer is slightly colder than the front.

Disappointment

I am sorry to report I am very disappointed with my GE refrigerator.
I have always had counter depth refrigerators but this one is so small I have to stack stuff on top of each other and it so jam packed I can't see where anything is. I only buy groceries for 2 people it isn't as though I have a family of 6. The fridge is so noisy and the ice dispenser is so loud and it takes forever for the ice to come out. I have had many GE appliances over the years and been very happy with their performance this however has changed my past thinking.

An Expensive and Major Disappointment

In December of 2006, my wife and I bought an earlier version of this refrigerator. It gave us 12 years of fantastic service. After its passing, we bought this, GE's latest version of the counter depth, Profile refrigerator. The 2006 model was quiet, the stainless steel resisted finger prints, no frost build up in the freezer, etc.. I would have expected that after 12 years, and witnessing significant engineering advances occurring all around us, that the new one would be much better: it isn't. I wear hearing aids and have no difficulty hearing it going through its cycles from the great room, some 20 feet or so from the kitchen. It is as if GE stripped out and threw away all of the insulation and whatever else was previously used to reduce noise. If I walk through the kitchen, the oil from my body and my finger prints leap to and kiss the stainless steel; leaving an ever present cluster of smudges to clean up. The freezer collects moisture, freezes it, and places a thin coating on all of its contents. I could complain more, but I won't. The only thing better is the interior led lighting.
Oh, just one one more comment; this refrigerator is, as stated earlier :
An expensive and major disappointment.
