Super Quiet

The refrigerator is super quiet, and quick at making ice. The outside is attractive and seems to match my other Profile appliances.
Negative side is the handles are not steel, like my convection oven/ stove. Also the interior drawers have lots of play when opening and closing and came here with surface scratches on them.
I previously had a Cafe refrigerator and was hoping the quality of the Profile would be closer to that of the Cafe.

Noisier than expected

One of the main reasons for purchasing this refrigerator was quiet operation. WE have had several service calls over the last 6 months to deal with a noise that has developed from the freezer. The service tech has done his best and I have no complaint with them. The noise keeps returning. My guess is it's a design issue. It costs too much money for this type of performance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Refrigerator Replacement

The fridge is not working property and the ice maker is making black and blue ice. I would like to get a replacement with no issues to the ice maker.

Sleek, and nice to look at

This refrigerator is really sleek and nice looking, and it goes well in a kitchen with the cabinet depth. However, looks aside, there is one glaring issue with it. The ice maker is a problem and for us, consistently goes out. I have had to fix this thing twice and currently looking at fixing it a third time in the last two years. I honestly have not had this much of an issue with ice makers in any other refrigerator that I’ve ever owned and I’m concerned it is an engineering fault. I could be wrong, this isn’t my expertise, but I would not get another one based solely on this experience.

Sound choice

Our space was tight, so purchased this refrigerator based largely on it's width and features. I have never used a side by side refrigerator/freezer before. Our old refrigerator had a bottom drawer freezer. I'm finding that I feel like I have less refrigerator space, but can more easily find things in the freezer. My only real complaint is that it is difficult to use the external ice feature without getting ice shavings or even cubes on the floor. I would have liked a taller space - so that my water bottle would fit under it. And I would like a bit more regularity in the fall of ice - sometimes it is one or two cubes, at others, it is more like a handful at once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

COOL! Clean design and functionality

The GE Profile Refrigerator was just installed. After transferring the food from the 17 yr old KitchenAid that the GE replaces, it seems the freezer holds less, but the other side has more space. Long expired frozen food made adequate space which means better organization preventing hidden waste! It didn't take long for the side by side to cool. The unit is quiet and well lit. We might want to order an extra shelf for the door. After comparing other brands, this counter depth meets or exceeds our expectations. Will it last 17 years? Will we?

Terrible design the ice cube fall out of Freezer each time you open the Freezer. The shelfs on the frig side are not locked in place and move around and they have bar that blocks the self before to put things in the are taller.
The Freezer has lot of wasted space and no room to put food. The house I bought has this unit and I will be replacing this terrible unit.
Never buy this terrible design!
