[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this imageFORMULA R50 Office Document Scanner to scan all of my parents, inlaws and my paperwork and make it all digital. We are all downsizing out homes and we dont want to take file cabinets with us and we wanted everything in a cloud. This Cannon USA document scanner works just perfect for that! This machine is time saver. Set up is easy with WI-fi or a USB. Works with Windows or Mac. Has a large color touch screen. This does single pass double sided scanning. I am very happy with this and am having fun.

The almighty machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own my own business and I struggle to keep up with all the paperwork - not to mention how much room it takes up! I was impressed with what this document scanner offered, but was pretty intimidated at the same time because I am not too computer savvy.
First of all, this scanner is pretty small considering what all it does- it easily fits on my office counter with room to spare, which is great. It looks slick and fits in nicely. Everything that is needed comes in the box- AC adapter, USB cord, power cable as well as the setup guide. The setup guide was amazing for me- it was easy to read and covers everything you could image. If I can set this bad boy up, anyone can!
You literally just plug the scanner in, download the software, load your documents and voila'- you are done! Easy peasy!
Paper documents are loaded in the top and can be aligned to fit your specific size paper if needed- you can even upload business cards! Everything scans quickly and ends up in the eject tray below and uploaded to your computer. Genius

Easiest scanner to set up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Canon R50 desktop scanner is a very robust, easy to use scanner. Packaged well and easy to get setup and ready to go. The instructions were short and to the point. I like that I didn't have to read a book to get this setup. I have setup and worked with a LOT of desktop scanners of various brands and this is by far the easiest scanner I have ever configured. Navigate to site included in instructions, download software, install, power on, select interface and you are ready to scan. I elected for the WIFI option as this is the most convenient option. However, the USB option was equally as easy to use if needed. The software walks you through the wireless setup as well as the large touch screen on the device. The CaptureOnTouchv4 software was very intuitive and easy to use out of the box with a couple preconfigured single/double sided options. A visible edit button allows you to edit the default options or you can quickly add a new button option. New button option offers a custom option or you can copy the built in options. The quick edit settings allow for most of the basic options you would need as far as single/double, DPI, skew correction and automatic detection options. There is an advanced section that has more options than I have ever needed when scanning documents. If you expand the left hand pane, you can adjust the output options such as scan to email, cloud drive options, local storage, and plenty more. This scanner is very fast on the 200dpi settings and you can really churn through a lot of documents with the 60 page capacity. Even the 600dpi setting is faster than I expected it to be. Overall, this is a fantastic product that offers a great setup experience, large touchscreen, and plenty of features.

Big time saver!

It has been a huge time saver because I can scan multiple types of paper documents into a searchable digital files. Now I don't have papers everywhere, it's all organized nice and neat. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

My wife is an attorney and I have a startup technology business that both regularly require regular document and presentation scanning. The imageFORMULA R50 makes this a simple, fast and professional looking experience. It saves us a good amount of time each week and is a must have item for our office.
