Amazing Router

This is by far one of the routers I have ever had the pleasure to use at home (and I have used the famous WRT54g with custom firmware). It has the right amount of custom advanced settings, mixed with a great App. The range is also great without needing "hundreds" of antennas. I surely recommended to any novice to expert user.

If you’re like me and live off grid and cellular is your only means to access the internet this device is amazing. It works just like my old router when I lived in the city and had internet.

When my printer does work, it works awesome. The problem I keep having is that it keeps disconnecting from my 4G/LTE at which point I need to reboot my router which I have to do at least once every hour which is frustrating.

We purchased to be a backup during an installation in the middle of the woods in West Louisiana. The location of the installation had no connectivity to the internal network. The backup quickly became the primary and worked flawlessly. Love it!

Nighthawk AX4/LAX20

As a consumer router with a cat6 LTE modem it is an adequate product. Both my wife and I telework for major corporations and performs to task.
Because we live on a farm outside of cable and fiber internet coverage I've had to teach myself the ins and outs of LTE modems. This is the first integrated router/modem I've used. Previously used a cat3 AC341U modem connected to a Nighthawk AC1750 using a Cradlepoint CBA750B bridge router. The detail over information available to evaluate connection quality is disappointing. I would expect a product with older technology (cat6 modems are several years old) that purports to be capable of carrier aggregation to at least have the ability to show me what bands it sees and which it is using. More specifically I should be able to see detected signal strength and signal quality for each band detected. Ideally there should be an advanced function to allow for band locking.
I'll be the first to admit that I was spoiled with the detail level of the Cradlepoint bridge routers interface. But that detail level greatly aided me on several occasions to diagnose issues with my carrier provider were their issue vs being an issue with my equipment/network. Event logging being one of those things I no longer have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a cheap hotspot/router and it did not work at all- no signal. I replaced it with the Netgear LAX20. Great signal all the time. Very fast and e3asy to set up.

One star so far. After over a week of attempting to connect to the internet, and multiple phone calls to support, we still have no internet. Challenging, since this is for a business. Support said to send it back and they’ll send a different router. There’s still hope…

Huge Speed Boost
