The setup was great, but the automatic signup for the protection software and no way to turn it off is not liked by me. Is this functionality using large chunks of data? No way to tell, but my service provider tracks every MB. When nothing is connected large chunks of data is being used. My provider sets a monthly limit and this extra usage is putting my usage over the allowed amount. I have turned of the unit when not in use. Then no data is being used, but I want to leave it on!

LAX20 Netgear AX4 4G LTE router

This router worked out of the box for verizon sim card. The main advantage of this router is it works both as a hotspot with a SIM card and a wifi router. I could give it a 5 star rating if it was a 5G router.

Netgear Wi-Fi GOOD!

Had to replace failed Wi-Fi modem (another brand) and chose Netgear. Wi-Fi speeds and strength to multiple devices is 3X better. Looks like a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The reception is poor, so external antennas are required… and doing anything on the management app takes forever.

Acceptable alternative to satellite internet

Need a home local network and internet access for light users. Setup was relatively painless but LTE signal (VZW) is spotty so the internet access is intermittent (95%). There are ports on back labeled “LTE antenna” how do I get an antenna?

it would not work with TMobile

T Mobile apparently does not work with this device. A loss of money for me.
