After struggling with DSL, my only option for internet for years, I learned of the ORBI router through my cellular phone company. I did have to replace my original unit but my current unit has been extremely easy to set up and synchronize with my devices and has been quite fast and reliable. Highly recommend for internet challenged areas of the country.

Great router - Easy Setup

I was thoroughly impresses with the ease of setup of the Orbi router through the IOS application. Once I had the LTE service online it was a short jump to broadcasting wifi and connecting devices. Being WiFi 6, the coverage is great. It easily covers the 3000 SF of space by residing in the middle. Would definitely buy more and recommend to everyone.

lock on one band

When it works it works great. Speed is decent, WIFI works great. BUT I typically have to reboot this at least once a day after it drops the connection to Verizon. Once it's dropped, only a hard power cycle seems to fix it. I actually put this on a wall timer to force a reboot once a day in the middle of the night since I have house things (thermostat, sump pump) tied to the device so I can monitor things when I am out of town for work. I do not think this is a Verizon issue as my phone hotspot works just fine at the same time this goes offline. Signal is 4 to 5 bars, so it's not a signal issue. Other people seem to also have this issue.

Netgear Orbi/T-Mobile

Since I have had this up and running for about 2 weeks I have been disappointed with the performance. I expected much better access and speed than I had with a satellite and so far I have not gotten it. I have my cell service with another major carrier and I only have 4G or 4GLTE with them. When I use my phone or my Chrome Book my connection speed is much faster and I have no problem with 24/7 access. So far the Orbi with T-Mobile has been down about as much as it has been up. I have the unit set up by a window as suggested.

Fine, a bit wonky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once I got it running, I did not have a TON of trouble. It's just, finicky. It was a little bit difficult to get setup, and I have issues with various devices bouncing on and off the network. Nothing fatal, it USUALLY works, but every so often you get a string of random, frustrating issues before things go back to normal.
I would recommend this to a friend!
