The Mobile Hotspot AC797 is a great device. It works very well, is fast, and was easy to set up. The only issue was with the APN configuration which required a call to my provider for information. I would recommend it highly.

The WI FI Hot Spot no longer reads the SIM card after less than 1 year. And I am now told that it is out of warranty. I am very disappointed.

Horrible - get a better device

I have own this device on cricket for over a year. At first it was nice. able to connect a few ipads and it worked ok. not great but ok. It gradually has gotten worse and worse. i have 3 or 4 bars but cant get a strong enough signal to run facetime and a game.
Maybe it is just cricket but i have not had a problem when i hotspot off my phone with the same service.

Works Well

I wanted a portable hotspot for travel, and this fit the bill nicely. Setup was reasonably easy. I use Visible. The device automatically installed the Verizon apn, so I had to access the device's web interface and manually install Visible's apn. Speeds were acceptable and varied completely by quality of signal. up to 30mbps down at home, but only 5mbs at my office. Enough for me needs with either.
I would recommend this to a friend!
