Light TOO dim.

I really wanted to love this hood. Its design is fabulous, it matches the 6 burner stove, it’s not too loud….
However, there is a serious design flaw with the under hood light. It is only 9V and gives off hardly ANY light at all. It’s more of a suggestion than a help. Truly, it behaves as more of a night light than an actual light you can cook with.
Although there are of course three levels to the brightness, it goes from dim to more dim. It is VERY difficult to cook under this light as you cannot see what you are cooking unless you have other kitchen lights on.
I’ve had the repair guys out to change it with a new light, and no difference.
So, while I thoroughly am enjoying my 6 burner stove (so elegant and cooks wonderfully :), I’ll have to give this two stars only for the light issue.
I’ll be looking for a retrofit or returning the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
