purchased one month ago. The design has a strong frame/support, not fragile when lifting. Good sound (does not get extremely loud/ not over barring/no high pitch sound). Back Light Low, not very bright. Product able to handle digital/HD cable TV. Great Color picture. Would Love keyboard style remote, more modern style. So Far so Great, will let you if anything changes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great TV for non-smart features.

Great Picture, great sound. LOUSY SMART FEATURES!!
It's DLNA capabilities are horrible, even with transcoded DLNA servers it's wi-fi DLNA capabilities SUCK.
No XBMC support, no Plex support, no Serviio support, not even Windows Media Player support!
The Netflix, Vudu, and Hulu apps work ok but they show up grainy even with my 30mbit Internet connection.
I'll be going out of my way to invest an additional 800 into a 4-bay NAS with XBMC built-in just so I can have proper DLNA but not with this TV, it will be interfaced with an HDMI cable and yet my other TV displays Netflix in full HD as well as reads my DLNA server and media files without a problem.
FIX THE FIRMWARE!!!
Pros: sound and picture for local or cabled media
Cons: the worst smart tv i've ever seen!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor sound quality

While not bad looking, this TV has horrible sound quality. The speakers are in the back and you can't hear anything when they are on. We had to buy a soundbar so that we could hear the TV. The picture isn't bad.
I love this tv. we have always had a Philips tv and my last one has lasted 18years and still going. this tv is great. it has the best sound than most hdtvs. the only problem we have had is sometimes when we are watching it the tv will shut off for no reason. this could end up being a problem but I am hoping it wont be because I love this tv. it has a great picture and the motion rate is very good. I think the brightness could be a little better but all in all this tv is right up there with other name brand tvs. I would buy this tv again.
This is the first flat screen, smart T.V. my husband and I have purchased, it is very easy to use, pair with other devices. The on screen set up makes it very easy to get started right out of the box, I recommend this make and model to anyone, whether you are proficient in using a smart T.V. or a novice. The picture is amazing, the audio is fine considering the model we have is already 2 years old.
