[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working in finance I generally use this laptop for excel, pptx, docx. Laptop runs multiple models side by side, with multiple pdf's, pptx & docx files, and runs them simultaneously with ease.
Now when I want to turn up, I'll roll up steam and play battlefield 1 and 4, or rome total war 2, and fallout 76.
Two downsides. Although, this computer is a complete beefcake powerhouse, in terms of power output and multitasking, I will regularly get 2 hours max on battery on batery saving mode. This is simply unacceptable by any commercial business standard. If I cannot rely on this laptop for at least 6 hours on power saving mode, it is not useful to me regardless of its power and superb utility. Other than this the laptop performs like a tank.

Perfect for anyone who is planning on using multiple monitors, or has an office and home docking setup. Fans can be kinda loud, but if the laptop is set on low-power mode it generally works. I would highly recommend for any office environment, and any student who is in need of a strong laptop.

I got the laptop and needed to transfer files from my old Lenovo. It is a nightmare. It just shouldn't be that hard. Should be just as easy as connecting the two.
When I finally got the data link to get it done my files were taken off my old computer and automatically send to the icloud.
Of course there wasn't enough room.
So I deleted the icloud files and unlinked the crap.
Poof! Thousands of hours of proprietary info disappeared.
I'm so chapped.
How dare you automatically activate iclkud and bypass inboard hard drives without permission.
You devastated my business. And we are having to pull old files from older laptops and hard drives. Still, hundreds of hours of work lost because of backup lag.
This sucks so hard.
The only redeeming value to not going with another route is that you returned the trackball.
Hopefully you transferred the genius team that took it out to the line.
Suck me very much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an aging Think Pad (the aging one started out with windows 7!). It outperforms the old one by miles! I especially like the display and it's startup time. I'm not giving it a full 5 stars because it sometimes has issues displaying my external monitors through the Thunderbolt workstation dock stations

Big disappointment

My $3,000+ T15g was the biggest disappointment in nearly 20 years of using top-of-the-line Lenovo T Series laptops, and it will be my last one. In a nutshell, it is slow, incredibly noisy, has meager battery life, and some features never worked (like the on-board Ethernet port). I have switched to my old desktop computer and I dread every time I have to turn on the laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
