[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it because I needed something I could bring to the board room, run virtual servers and (rarely) play the occasional game with high settings. It checks all the boxes. The ThinkPad fingerprint scanner and utilities related to high trust environments were an additional large plus. For the specific needs above, there just isn't a competitor. Really liking this laptop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a lot of thinkpad laptops before, and they are awesome. This particular product didn't turn out satisfactorily. I faced driver issues, trackpoint issues, and overheating issues. I have asked for a replacement product. Will try the new product. Hope the new one turns out better and as per the the Thinkpad standards and expectations.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not a budget machine by any means, but at the price, you can't beat the reliability of the build. I use this machine for machine learning and deep learning and it works great. And I absolutely love ThinkPad keys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No doubt, this is a durable, top performer workhorse for the design environment. There is a reason why large design firms use ThinkPad for their more demanding users. They are just built to survive long hours in a highly competitive business environment, where the expectations of quality work on extreme short turnarounds are paramount. No surprise the same expectations apply if you are a small business like ours, where you are required to constantly overdeliver just keep yourself afloat. Although the black corporate look may turn some excitement off for some people. Proven performance, durability and processing power is what we were looking for.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing machine! Best build quality and powerful internals. It will last many years. Only downside is fan noise, which can be very loud even when doing very minimal tasks. Would give 4-1/2 stars if possible.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Outstanding graphics and speed. This thinkpad lives up to the Thinkpad reputation of quality and reliability I have used thinkpads since the days (1990s) of IBM and was very happy to continue using them after they became Lenovo. Solid and easy to use (even the red joystick before the touchpad). This one is no different except... weight. Not a bad thing since I has a feel of performance. My only disappointment is that i is not a touchscreen. I assumed it would have one since the price was nearly double what I usually pay for a laptop. Hopefully it will be all that I expect from Lenovo.
