[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this for software UI design and video work. Like the idea of using this machine at home and office (when we go to office we'll have 50/50 at home and office). Using the i9 and 2080 combo and the high res screen too. All in all a great combo. Already added another 32gb of ram, which was super easy to do. Lightingbolt will come in handy when storage needs to grow.

Major drawback is Intel CPU. Thermal Throttling happens when running CPU heavy tasks.
CPU core temperature hits 100degC and then lowered by frequency pulling down. Fan noise was loud. In the end I chose to disable CPU Turbo mode. CPU TDP is now limited to 25W and freq is set to 2.6GHz. No lag was observed in daily use and it becomes a super quiet machine unless playing games. Wish Lenovo would add Ryzen CPU to their high-tier models. It does not make sense to use aggressive thermal management with an Intel CPU. It is ironically Intel CPU has become unpopular choice nowadays.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Display on the laptop is extremely nice, and is nice for long periods of working on. The fan can run a little loud, and some optimization for the CPU would be nice especially in cases of just loading webpages or less demanding gaming. Overall, happy with my purchase, and confident the machine will last me for years to come.
