[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful workstation solution. Running it Linux native with VMware hypervisor, and some data science suites in the VMs. Can run multiple VMs in parallel, with no issues. Excellent fit and finish. 10/10 would recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best laptop I've had so far. 64 gigs of ram make running multiple programs easy. And the speed is crazy fast in booting up by having 2 hard drives
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the performance and speed even on CPU-needy apps. However, the camera and the microphone are noticeably subpar for a computer as expensive as this one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast, Bulky, and with Printer compatibility issues. Very fast and expandable so wont need a new one for a while. Bulky and heavier than anticipated but with an expansion capacity of 128gb of ram it could be worse. Printer compatibility issues are the worst, still working on driver updated and every time a new printer is connected it wont find the drivers; it's faster to print to PDF put doc on a flash drive and put flash drive in the printer than to actually connect to the printer. NO BUENO, a new computer should connect flawlessly to printers on the network without needing to go through ridiculous additional steps to download drivers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good hardware specs. If you do any virtualization this will continually break on you requiring factory install repeated until you modify the UEFI settings in BIOS. Had to go on lenovo forum to get this fixed.
There is a setting in BIOS named "Enhanced Windows Biometric Security" option that literally breaks the entire OS as soon as you enable certain windows features See Microsoft KB4568831 for more info.
When this setting is enabled certain Lenovo drivers attempt to access the PCI bus in methods not supported (no longer supported) by windows.
It results in bootlooping caused by uncaught exceptions in Lenovo firmware, resulting from this pci security feature.
Took me two weeks to figure out how to fix this. Nearly returned it.
Once I disabled that uefi setting it's worked fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can not express how happy I am with this laptop! As a doctoral student I needed something fast mobile and powerful. Though this laptop is a little bigger it by no means hinders it mobility. The screen is beautiful and I am able to edit photos outside without any issues seeing the screen. You have to update it when you get the laptop but setup was under 3 hours. Nothing but positive things to say about this laptop!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally never intended to purchase a workstation laptop - let alone a WinPC - but this beast of a machine ticked many of my requirements, and then some. Coming from owning MacBook Pros for 15 years, I was skeptical of any PC laptop that claimed "high-performance" - especially after spending two months trying and returning three other PC laptops (Lenovo IdeaPad 5, Dell G7, HP Zbook Firefly), each of which had their own separate mix of issues and unnecessary frills. The T15g combined the reputable build quality I expected from Lenovo with the versatility of a Windows machine that could tackle my CAD/CAM coursework, countless open spreadsheets, and hours of back to back video meetings. It even runs AAA games without missing a beat - I was surprised to see Cyberpunk and Death Stranding running smoothly at medium-high settings.
Though the T15g Gen 1 has been discontinued at the time of this post, I highly recommend the T15g series to anyone looking to either migrate away from Apple, or who wants to own a separate Windows machine that can do so much more.
