[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a quick review-- and apologise for being that way. I'm excited. Excited for the Thinkpad T15g! This machine is a hidden gem from Lenovo! Playing games is a breeze too. The T15g handles the cooling quite well. Don't get me wrong. This laptop can heat up --but rarely, and I discovered keeping it under a balanced mode keeps it rather cool and happy. This machine is definitely my daily driver for work and gaming!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It runs wayyy too hot - 99c under load. Even situated on a laptop cooler.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lenovo appreciates all feedback and thank you for taking the time to rate and review our product! We apologize for your inconvenience. For overheating, we recommend making sure that your device is kept clean as well as ensuring that it is kept in the right place so that airflow is not restricted.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkPad T15g was purchased for graphic design applications. So far it has kept up with heavy graphic rendering without breaking a sweat. The screen is bright and offers good color resolution.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy my Thinkpad T15g, it is an great overall workstation. It fast to handle my current workload and it is very portable when compared to other workstations at this price. I also appreciate Lenovo's thoughtfulness surrounding upgradability and repairability for this laptop too, its great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my dream laptop, a Thinkpad with enough horsepower to replace a medium-level PC gaming maching. I write for a living and game as one of my hobbies and it fits the bill perfectly. Civ 6 runs like a dream on my 1920x1080 500nit screen. Without any reformat, the machine runs digital audio (Reason) well enough too, no problem on LatencyMon with the wifi turned off. Battery life is pretty good, although I run strictly off the dedicated card becuase the intel drivers have been a mess this year (brightness flickering).
It can get loud and hot but you can set up "underclocking" and control boost in the BIOS and in windows power plan. The one thing you can't avoid is this thing is HEAVY. I'm a pretty tall, fit dude. Recommend a laptop desk, and that you lift with both hands. When I first got it I was one handing and I gave myself golfers' elbow lol.
All in all, I love it. I've been waiting for this laptop for decades (my first computer was a Packard Bell i286) - one that could do some medium weight gaming while offering an excellent keyboard, build quality, and wouldn't look funny in cooperate or academic settings.
