my case broke causing my phone to fall right out of it and hit my driveway!!!! the rubber part detached from the clear backing out of no where! i am livid!

the case feels pretty protective but i am very disappointed that it is not actually clear. the only one available was the black so i chose the black, which i assumed was only the part around the phone itself and i assumed the "clear" part would show off the beautiful purple color of my phone. it is smoky and it changes the color entirely. i would have waited for the white to come back in stock had i known it would change the color so much.
it also does not feel as protective as an otter box or a speck case so if you drop your phone often i would choose a more rugged case.

Be aware that the whole case is black

based on comparison photos of this black case and the white case, they looked exactly the same. i chose this one believing that the only difference was the rubber color around the outside and that the back would be completely clear. in fact, the rubber piece around the outside is black but so is the back of the case, not allowing the color of my phone to show through as i expected. the rubber around the outside of the case also tends to pick up a lot of lint, the back picks up fingerprints like a mirror, the buttons are a bit tough to press, and the edges of the speaker / charging port holes are very sharp making the case difficult to hold at times. the case is keeping my phone protected for the moment but i will not continue using it and will be on the search for something else this week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i purchased this case with some promotional credits when i purchased my phone. i thought that it was a clear case as it shows but, i was disappointed to see that the sides were white and completely block the colors of the phone. it did survive one drip when the phone fell on it's side.
my major gripe is that the case isn't durable at all. the back clear plastic is glued to the side rubber and fell apart in my pocket after very little use.
i'll search for a one-piece case from now as those prove more durable.
