Great concept, poor execution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this game. It seems on a different level than other "Escape Room In a Box" games as it contains actual physical objects that you manipulate. However, the components are cheaply made and do not actually withstand the handling that you are supposed to do with them. We had one plastic component that broke, rendering the game unfinishable.
The game is good at providing several puzzles at once that you can split up among your group. Most puzzles made since, and we were able to complete them without any hints. One puzzle we still could not figure out even after using the provided hints. We knew how to solve it, but the component required did not fit quite right to provide us a solution. We got an answer that worked, but have no idea how we were supposed to come up with it "correctly".
This game requires looking and reading some VERY tiny fonts and pictures. In fact, the entire second half of the game will require someone with excellent eyesight. We ended up getting so frustrated that we could not read the clues that we needed that we quit before reaching the end.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Game for Adults

Fun Family Game Night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I originally chose this game for a game night at Grammie’s because my Mom is obsessed with the Walking Dead, unfortunately because of Covid we haven’t been able to visit yet. Escape rooms seem so fun & I can’t wait to experience one in person but for now a board game will have to do. We had 3 teenagers, 2 adults and 2 younger kids who played & we genuinely enjoyed ourselves!! Each of the younger girls paired up with someone older while we figured out the game. We played a couple games the 1st night & really enjoyed ourselves. Since then, the Walking Dead Escape Room game has been the Go To Game for Rainy days & whenever the teenagers get bored!! I would recommend this game for family game nights with your kids/grandkids!!

Who Cares about time?!?

We just played this as a family tonight, 2 adults and 2 kids. We didn’t beat the box in the time limit but it was very fun either way. You’ve got to be pretty creative to understand the clues. Also… if you put a certain component into an item the wrong way, you can’t see the clues. We wasted 30 minutes trying to see tiny pictures XD. Anyway, I would highly recommend this game for those up to the challenge. READ THE CLUES CAREFULLY!!!! Good luck!

Fun for the family, but poorly designed

Four adults - had severe difficulty viewing small pictures, ended up pulling out extra magnification. We only used two hints but neither were especially helpful. Part of our key -broke- and we had to bring in extra tools to complete. That said, we did enjoy the range of puzzles, and it was a fun, if frustrating, way to spend an evening.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fun but not good for us with aging eyesight

That camera is too small. A bunch of 40-50 year olds struggled to enjoy the game because the fonts, colors and images were so terribly hard to see and read. Even the teens struggled especially with that camera. Oh that camera! Could you make it any smaller?! Family had fun but also very frustrated and gave up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
