So far, SO GOOD!

Bought a Troy Bolt 2800 model and got it home only, after many attempts, to have it not start. I took it back and began looking at options. After much deliberation I (skeptically) landed on the Greenworks 2200 electric, thinking that if I was not satisfied I would return it as well. I used it to wash the pollen and winter gunk off the patio furniture. I am very impressed with the pressure it generates. I washed a "test" patch of the concrete pool deck, and it made it epic and span quickly. I like the on demand function of the electric tric pump, as it turns off when you are not spraying, and is much quieter when washing than my old gas model. The motor has a 10 year warranty. No more gas to mess with and no more pulling on that start rope. My first impression is GREAT!

After spending the better part of the day trying to get my old gas power washer running decided to replace it. skeptic about an electric one but decided I didn’t want to mess with gas anymore and was pleasantly surprised this unit has plenty of power for anything you would need around the house cleaned all the algae off my concrete patio and vinyl fence with ease love the fact that it come with all the different nozzles for different applications like that it’s makes a whole lot less noise and it automatically shuts down when you’re not spraying. just plug it in and get to work no more wondering if it’s going to start for me

I am very impressed with this Greenworks pressure washer. I used it to clean vinyl siding and painted decks that were badly stained with mildew and grime from the tree canopy. The washer did an excellent job cleaning these surfaces.
I especially liked how easy this washer is to use! I have always been intimidated by pressure washers and trying to wrestle heavy, gas powered equipment has never appealed to me. The Greenworks washer is lightweight, hassle-free, and maneuverable. It is much quieter than a gas powered washer and there is no gas smell fouling the work environment. For me, these were major advantages that actually made pressure washing a pleasant, gratifying chore.
I highly recommend this washer and look forward to using it again for additional projects such as cleaning the car, boat, etc.

I bought this 6 months ago and used it sucessfully 1 time on my deck. Since then I have tried to use it for various jobs and the inline GFCI CONTINUALLY trips. It was once every 20 minutes or so but has gotten worse. today it is less than 1 minute between every trip. Garbage...don't waste your money

Gets The Job Done but Needs some Issues Fixed

I've had this unit for about 6 months in my detail shop. I use a foam cannon with most of my jobs so a GPM rating of at least 2.0 GPM is a must. The machine has worked well and is still working but I would like to see GreenWorks make some changes to the design. First off, the motor or GFI plug or maybe a combination of the two is very finicky. Sometimes the GFI plug will trip over and over again. My shop has all 20A circuits and I think Greenworks could do a better job with this so it will run on 20A. The pump pulls the most load when you are requiring a larger GPM such with a foam cannon. The second thing is regarding the way the machine starts up. It has a solid 5-8 second delay upon pulling the trigger and the unit coming up to full power. This I absolutely hate! It is super annoying and I don't see why its needed. I would like to see Greenworks come out with a more fine tuned version. If not I will be investing in a Comet or Kranzle unit for my shop.

Same issue as others. It keeps tripping the GFI. The excuse about the high draw is getting old. After so many people have the same problem why cant you admit that the machine trips to easy. Provide a replacement cord with a stronger GFI.

Out with the gas, in with this beast!
on July 25, 2017

In the PNW dealing with moss on your driveway is a constant fight one ignores at their peril. My driveway was in terrible shape, enough that wife was complaining about it getting slippery. All that, and my gas power washer broke. Someone left it unwinterized in the shed. We won’t name names. So it was time for a new power washer.
I have used two different electric power washers and one gas powered one over the years. I actively try and avoid gas powered anything in my yard implements, but l loved the power washer. My old electrical ones were terrible enough that I gave them away years ago. I prefer not to have any more gas engines to maintain than I have to, but mainly I like the convenience of electrical tools over gas. Plus, no smell, less noise, less vibration, etc. What’s not to love about electrical? Oh yeah, the raw blasting power and performance as compared to gas. So when I saw that Greenworks, whose 40v cordless yard tools I love, came out with a new pressure washer that does 2200 PSI and 2.3 GPM, I jumped at it.
This is the first electric power washer I have used that approaches the performance of a gas powered one. I pulled out the cleaning fluid and laid that down, switched to the power nozzle and proceeded to blast the gunk off my driveway with just as much authority as my old dreadful gas power washer before it died. Bugs coating the grill of my pickup truck? No problem. Moss and algae on the vinyl siding? Gone! To say I am impressed is putting it lightly. The final nice thing is wrapping up the cord, hose, wand, and tips for storage in the shed. It is nice and compact and takes up just a little room
One dark spot in this product is I wish the hose were longer. Like another 10 or more feet would have made it about perfect.
In summary, this thing has great power, great convenience, and excellent features. For most people around the house, this beast of a power washer is ideal and for some, more than you need. I do not foresee me going back to a gas power washer. Next up washing the fence in prep for staining.

I bought the 2200 in March 2018. the first time I used it, it worked well for 15 minutes and began to trip the electrical inline fuse. it repeatedly did this every 15 seconds afterward, making it impossible to use. i put it away and used it 2 weeks later and it did the same thing. impossible to use.

Response from greenworkstools.comBy Greenworks Customer Service Greenworks Technical Support June 10, 2018
Hello tbyron79

The Greenworks 2000 PSI requires a high draw, as it increase or decreases the flow rate according to the nozzle being used at the time; it can surge. We do not recommend using an extension cord and for this tool to be the only device attached to the outlet. This Greenworks 2200 PSI is rated for use with a 20-30A supply (code for all modern buildings in North America). Some older dwellings with lower supplies may experience issues due to the power of this unit.

Please consider contacting us at 888-909-6757 we would really like to speak with you about this in greater detail to see if there is anything we can do to help.
