Shoddy design despite beauty and function

I’ve had this awesome French press for a little over a year and the handle broke off very poor design for something like this to happen in such a short amount of time

This is a beautiful piece of garbage

I love the way this french press looks. Its gorgeous. However, no matter how I orient the pour, it pours out all over the counter. Further, the fancy walnut topper came off about 3 months after purchase, and despite trying multiple glues and epoxies to reattach it, it has never really worked, and it currently is just basically non-functional less than a year after purchase. NOT WORTH IT. It is hard to clean. It looks good, but not much else.

My biggest complaint with this press is it's nearly impossible to pour out of it and not get coffee to run down the front of the press from the pour spout. the spout seem to be too short, so no matter the technique I try, I'm spilling coffee everywhere. Also there is still a fair amount of sediment that makes it through the mesh on the plunger. It looks good, the insulation is excellent, the non stick coating is brilliant, and the ease of cleaning and disassembly is welcome for sure. A few tweaks and this would be a perfect press IMHO.

Teflon and poor mesh filter.

There’s really no reason for a Teflon liner in a stainless steel vessel. I’m trying to reduce the amount of PFAS in my life and this seems completely unnecessary.
Also, the design of the mesh for the plunger leads it to getting clogged so it’s hard to finish pressing it down.
I think the overall design is fantastic but these two issues ruined it for me.
