We just purchased a home; the previous owners installed this model two years ago. I have never cooked with gas before, so it’s definitely a learning curve for both of us. We have managed to melt a plastic flipper twice! But we cooked a steak in a cast iron pan last night and it came out perfect. The only thing we don’t like is by using gas the flames touch the sides of your pan, not just the bottom.
So far it's leaps and bounds from standard run of the muck oven. Yes cooking times are improved due to being more efficient and better insulated. With both wife and I having real line chef cooking jobs it's as close you can get to industrial commercial. Besides the daily use of actually cooking home meals She is in the process of starting a micro bakery and hope its up for the task.
