I use this thing as a microwave predominately. Unfortunately, as a microwave, it is not good. It takes at least two (2) solid minutes to truly warm coffee, tea water and so on liquid-wise. I still have yet to make time to use the air fryer. It is a good-looking machine though. Would have loved to enter in time as opposed to dialing the time in 5-second increments.

Love the functionality and space saving ability of this product but it is a tad smaller than expected and what I think it could be and still be space saving. Also, not a huge fan of the dial up time and temperature but how well it works makes up for how pesky that is lol. I

Cuisinart microwave/air fryer

I have been using my microwave/air fryer for several weeks now and I have been very impressed with it. Pros: I can cook more food with the basket tray than with my former egg shaped fryer, cooking ten chicken wings at once. A regular size dinner plate DOES fit provided you tilt the plate slightly. The air fryer function is excellent, cooking food faster than expected (keep an eye on the food), the microwave functions better than my previous 750 watt microwave. The size is perfect for two people and it looks nice. Cons: The inside light is very dim and does not provide enough light to adequately view the food without additional external lighting. The cooking options panel is not backlit. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to a small family.

The oven is a little small compared to previously owned appliances but sufficent. The microvawe is a lower power its okay but does take longer. The air fryer/ oven is very nice. The modes and preset are handy and to seem to cook things very nice. The one reason it was bought to free up counter space in the kitchen went from 2 appliance two appliances to one. Just wish it was a litlle bigger to fit a 12 inch pizza. Otherwise it meets most of my neecs

Air fryer works pretty good. Microwave is pretty wimpy. Overall, the unit is small, so good for one to two people.

Good product, but some suggestions for Cuisinart

Overall, I am very happy with this microwave air fryer combo. The microwave is underpowered compared to most, but that just means you have to add a little more time for everything. Stuff from the air fry/oven setting comes out nice and crispy. I am disappointed in how much heat is put off into the kitchen. I was hoping a smaller appliance would not heat up the house as much as the big conventional oven during the summer, but I am afraid this will actually put off more heat. The small recipe book was also a BIG disappointment! Most recipes were for microwave cooking. The air fryer/oven setting is the unique thing and deserves a majority if not all of the space in the recipe book. My dad also found the small text on the buttons hard to read when he visited.
Some things Cuisinart could improve... the inside the directions and/or LCD screen should have the %microwave and % oven for the combi-cook settings instead of random dishes you could cook with those settings. The solid tray should fit securely on top of the mesh tray to allow air flow and a not as soggy bottom. The mesh tray should have taller legs for better air flow if cooking on both levels at once. The mesh tray should sit on the edge of and not inside the solid tray this would allow for more cooking space and limit the oil on the bottom of the legs getting on the counter or hot pad when removed. Some sort of a handle should be provided to remove the trays. Potentially something similar to the clamping handle for camp cooking pots. Grabbing the pans with a pot holder is hard and I spilled fries all over trying to remove it with tongs.

It’s sufficient for what we needed it for but not nearly as powerful as a regular microwave. Our other cuisanart air fry is so much more powerful as well. It’s also very loud.
