This won’t last more than 5 years

I bought this and only after a year or two the battery doesn’t hold charge anymore. It lasts about 5 minutes and then quits. If it could work when plugged in I would give it a higher rating but because it won’t the lifetime on this blender is maybe 3-5 years total. I loved using it for the past couple years as I had to use this when I had jaw surgery and had to only drink liquids but I’m not sure if I got a faulty unit or if the lifetime on these are terrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with your Cuisinart EvolutionX Cordless Compact Blender. A few things to try: make sure you’re fully charging it until all three blue LED lights are solid (about 2 hours for a full 20-minute charge). Also, avoid leaving the blender uncharged for long periods when not in use — that can shorten the life of the lithium-ion batteries.

This thing works great! I put about 6oz of water, 6oz of ice, my shake mix and either strawberries, blueberries or raspberries and it makes a perfect shake! Only down side is no measurements on the side of the cup. It also gets about 20 uses per charge. Highly Recommended!!

Blends nicely. However the battery life doesn’t last but about 2 minutes at most. For the money there are other options out there that will do the same job for cheaper. We went with this brand hoping to get better than the competitors battery life, in this instance it didnt happen.
