Left-handed people have even bigger issues writing on digital notepads. Paperlike really helps, as it slows the flow of the magnetic pen to allow for more control.

This is exactly the kind of texture I wanted to add to my iPad for illustration. It has just the right amount of grip. It does add a slightly matte look to the screen when I stream movies, but I got used to it and don't even notice it anymore. Love it!

I was extremely intrigued when I was introduced to the Paperlike Screen Protector during a YouTube Review for the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard - sorry that I cannot recall the reviewer. I have been using an iPad for note taking since the original Apple Pencil was released as no other stylus came close with regards to performance and accuracy, so the claim that the Paperlike would make my apple pencil feel as if I were writing on paper while protecting my screen sounded like a definite plus. My original order was on backorder for just over a month. As I was in a pandemic lock-down, my new iPad Pro was not going to be in any real compromising situations so I waited patiently and I was kept up to date via email on the status of my order.
I was extremely happy to have received two screen protectors with my purchase. This makes me feel that Paperlike knows the market and has a commitment to their customer and the durability of their product. Installation went well for me.
The Paperlike performs as advertised. The texture does mimic paper and I do feel as if I am writing on a paper-like surface. My only criticism is that the matted finish of the screen protector really takes away from the glossiness of the beautiful iPad Pro display. Otherwise, I am enjoying the performance.
One additional detail - you only need to clean the Paperlike covered display with a soft rag/towel to remove fingerprints and/or smudges. Screen wipes do not work.

Actually works pretty great!

I was super skeptical at first to buy a Paperlike. Some Youtubers like it, some hate it, but eventually I thought, let me try it for myself.
At first I thought it sucked bc it felt nothing like drawing on paper. Then I realized I had forgotten to pull one of the layers off. I pulled that layer off and the paper like works great! It is matte and it feels nice. It definitely creates some friction which makes writing and drawing a pleasure. I really enjoy it and will be purchasing again from them in the future.
The one con, it does scratch easily. If the look of scratches bother you, that is something to be aware of. However, it still works just fine so the scratches dont bother me.

The texture of the Paperlike works as promised. I find it easy to control the pencil with this light, realistic writing surface. I am happy to recommend the Paperlike screen protector. But next time I will have to take even more time to apply it -- got a few too many bubbles but they haven't squelched my appreciation for the writing surface.

Excellent for drawing, not as great for watching videos

The texture is amazing for drawing on. It lowers the screen quality for watching videos a bit due to the texture on the protector, but is worth it if you will be drawing a lot. Was a little difficult to apply, leaving a few bubbles, but nothing major.
