Increased drag with the second version makes it pleasant to use apple pencil. But, using touch feels like super fine sandpaper, to me, on my thumbs.
I feel Original Paperlike had a happy medium between touch and apple pencil use.

Great product and great company! There were some shipping complications, but had the issue resolved in less than a day. Just arrived, and oh it looks and feels so good! Got this for my iPad, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Loved v1 and was looking forward to v2 bec of promise of added friction, but am finding some loss of pen sensitivity and having to press harder to get desired effect on Procreate. Still need to test it on other apps. Hope v1 will still be available for purchase

Using it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, woop woop!

How you ask? I ordered a larger one and cut it to fit. The edges didn't turn out that great but surely works and you wouldn't notice it. I was warned and knew it will affect colors and sharpness, so if you watch more movies and are really serious about crisp images then consider twice about getting it. But if you average more pen-writing than movie time then it's a no-brainer.
Note that the Samsung pen stylus tip is more sharp than the Apple pencil and feels like it might reduce the protector lifetime, but so far so good. Ofc there are the interchangeable smoother tips for the samsung pen but then you have to replace them when they wear out.
Anyway excited and happy.
