The manual is great and everything worked out fine. It gives the screen a matt finish - which improves the overall look of the screen imo. And of course it feels way better to draw!

Best experience ever!

First of all, never had a hands-on experience with paper-like before, but I read/watched tons of positive reviews and they were absolutely right. Paper like gives the best drawing experience and feels great.
My problem was with the postal service and customs in Turkey. My first package was damaged and paperlikes were somehow bent. When I wrote this to customer service they offered a replacement. I recently got my second package with "do not bend" label on it but it was torn and I guess they tried to see what's inside with a utility knife (again at customs).
Fortunately paper-like comes in pairs and one of them was in good condition. (The other has a huge cut in the middle)
In summary: I had the best online shopping experience, best customer service and best drawing experience with paper-like. (All problems I had was because of our postal system.) Thank you so much and have a great day!

Interesting product (not so happy with the installation process)

I liked the smooth surface of the iPad without a screen protector, but during the kickstarter campaign of Paperlike 2 I thought I'd give Paperlike a try.
I found the installation process much messier than the video makes it appear: For starters there is only one set of dust-absorber & guides stickers so I don't know what I'll be doing when time comes to install the second paperlike film. Next the guide stickers would not really attach/stick on the sides&back of the ipad. Eventually I centered it manually during the final application.

The texture is indeed like... paper! I feel it's also dampening the hollow sound of the non-laminated display of the 9.7" iPad (2018). The drawing sensation is also very much like paper, which makes writing (notes) and pencil/charcoal drawing so much more natural an pleasant. The hand slides easier too, so I don't need the drawing glove that I was usually wearing.
Due to the friction, and the matte surface, it feels that I'm really drawing something physical. It's much more satisfying. Things are more "real" now! I'm not sure whether my freehand stability has increased, but it definitely hasn't decreased.
On the flipside, while tools such as digital pencils now feel more natural, other tools such as digital brushes, feel ...unnatural due to the friction! I always enjoyed the weightlessness of soft brushes and perhaps that's why I was happy with the slippery display of the ipad. Now this is gone. I'm sure this is a matter of taste and perhaps I'll learn to like it? For now I'm keeping paperlike on anyways.
I'm also not sure how long the Apple Pencil tip will last with the paperlike on and how it will react to the oils of my hands but after 30mins of using it, I'm satisfied.

Good, but not perfect (yet...)

I can’t compare this to similar products as it’s the only one I’ve used. But it most definitely gives a more paper-like feel to writing and since I’ve had it, I’ve started using my iPad Pro for loads of stuff that I previously hadn’t in the past three years of owning it. So I’m most definitely getting much more out of my device, and that alone makes it worth it.
Any downsides? Well, the screen is now slightly more blurry/matt. That’s a sacrifice you have to accept for any of these paper-like sheets, I think. When the screen is off, I can also see marks left by my Apple Pencil on the Paperlike screen protector, so I can imagine this will need regular replacing at some point. Probably my biggest niggle is applying the sheet to the iPad. I was super careful. Even more careful that the instructions, applying it in the kitchen, on a stone worktop, with a steaming kettle, all to avoid specks of dust. But when it went onto the screen, there was still trapped dust. And there are bubbles. I cannot see from the instructions how it’s possible to avoid this. A better application method would improve the product.
Still, as an awkward left-hander who struggled to write on the glossy iPad screen, I can say using Paperlike has massively changed how I use my iPad - for the better. I now write huge amounts of notes using Notability, and it’s all thanks to having the Paperlike on the surface.
Unless I hear of something better, I’ll buy another at some point.

Never going back!

Absolutely love the paperlike screen protector for my ipad! It makes drawing with the apple pencil much more natural. I was hesitant of how it would change colors and my experience when using my fingers, but I prefer it now. The screen does not visibly get as smudged up with finger prints and i like the matte feel. It also reduces glare.

I like it a lot for writing. It really makes the whole experience of the paperless movement more enjoyable. Screen quality is not as good as without it, but its not very bad.

Here's my review for this peculiar yet fantastic product.
The feedback on the film is awesome, it gives such a great feeling while writing and sketching, i couldn't choose for a better screen protector.
Being a student, this is exaclty the feel i was looking for, to make my writing more immersive and stimulating.
The film is extremely durable, however i had a problem with my first batch, because evident scratches started appearing after a few weeks, but thanks to the Paperlike support i was given the opportunity to try the film out again for free.
This is such a kind act which shows just how much passion and interest to positive feedback this company has, always making sure the customer is happy.
I would gladly suggest this product to a friend, and always will.

I've tried another fuxpaper texture screen protector in the past, while the texture felt amazing, it utterly destroyed my pencil tip. Paperlike is a godsend, the texture is not bad, but it doesn't eat your expensive pencil, dampens glare and is all around an amazing product. If you're new to digital art this will help bridge the gap from paper to screen. I Will buy more in the future.
