Great product, basically a necessity for using the Apple Pencil. The instructions are good but it’s still so easy to mess up and have dust under the screen so I got pretty frustrated.

I really wanted to love Paperlike

So I wanted to wait until I've had a lot of time using this before I made my review. I realllly wanted to like paperlike and while I like the texture, there are too many cons for me to really enjoy this or give it more stars. It got a star for the texture and the customer service.
Installation:
So first, the installation. I watched the video a couple of times, watched a few other videos regarding it and followed this step by step. The issue is the material used on the shield/sticky side of paperlike is SUCH a dust magnet. Like within seconds the static has drawn dust to it after i've cleaned it. So obviously by the time i'm done installing there is debris under it. I kinda accepted it on the first one. However, the second installation the microfiber cloth started disintegrating and leaving little black particles i did not see against my black screen until after the screen protector was down and i cant easily lift this back up without risking the chance of MORE dust getting trapped. I have not had this many issues with a screen protector installation - I've used Elecom, Paperfeel and a couple other brands and it has NEVER been this bad.

In use: Again I liked the texture. It's not super rough and has a soft finish so it's jusssst enough grab on my pencil. However - this thing scratches....so easily. At first I thought "Oh its my nib scratching it" so I changed nibs and within two strokes more stratches started to appear. I was hoping maybe they were just from the oils so I tried cleaning the screen but nope. They are scratches. My newly installed one didn't even last 10 minutes with a fresh nib there is already scratches. It's honestly just really disappointing.
I dont really notice any change in screen quality however so I guess that's anther plus. Overall it's really just not a worth it product - especially at the price point. The customer service was great when my first paperlike purchase ended up being defected (debris already in the sticky side of the paperlike) and they immediately shipped me out a new one but even with the new ones I am just...so underwhelmed by it and cannot see myself buying this again.

I still hate drawing on the ipad, but it's the ipad and its OS fault :) the screen actually helps a lot with lowering my simmering disgust i feel at drawing on a tablet
