I have the older version with the UV button that does not lite up do you can't tell if it's on, but this unit style works quickly, quietly and efficiently.

I bought this air purifier because it was highly-recommended by a consumer review magazine (you know the name). The filter lasts a long time. My husband's allergies have all but disappeared since we bought the purifier. I haven't had to buy more than one filter replacement in a year.

I have 3 air purifiers this one is my least favorite. My favorite one is the germ guardian model AC5250PT and my 2nd favorite is the germ guardian model RAC4825E
