The advertisment for this product clearly shows speed on the screen, which is why I bought it. Come to find out that if i want to show speed on the unit, I need to buy additional products. Clearly deceptive advertising. Highly disappointed.

not happy fathers day

got a helix 5 for fathers day. opened box to read instructions.. noticed there was no power wire in box. unit does not work without power lead. happy fathers day!

confusing

I bought this a year ago. The manual with it is unusable, has MANY features discussed that are not on my unit. Am unable to find the manual for this unit; Helix 5 Sonar G2
I have an engineering background and am not a klutz with electronics but this is beyond my ability to figure out.

Erratic depth, no speed

Box shows speed reading, and this has never read speed. The depth constantly fluctuates to inaccurate readings (i.e. 900-1100ft in a lake no deeper than 120ft).
Tried every fix offered, nothing works. Would feel bad selling it so likely will just throw out

This unit is the best one to plug into a Minn Kota trolling motor with a built in transducer.
No frills,very easy to use for the average fisherman.
