[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I have used ViewSonic monitors for decades, both at home and work. All have been excellent and this amazing 1440p does not disappoint! My wife uses it in her home office to toggle between work and home laptops; it's perfect for business apps, and for her personal stuff including videos, lite gaming, pictures, and movies it just nails it. Reliability is not a concern because we've never had a single ViewSonic monitor fail - not ever - all were donated and handed down still working even after 8+ years. Setup was a breeze and the image is amazing! Totally worth the money. Thanks again ViewSonic - keep making the good stuff!

Monitor with integrated Dock - a few oversights...

I just purchased these monitors VG2756-2K along with the companion monitors VG2755-2K. So far the screens and dock work almost flawlessly. I ran into 2 separate issues though. The first issue I ran into is the lack of a "Power" button on the monitor that powers the laptops on. For example, if you have an HP dock with an HP laptop there is a power button that both powers on the dock and the laptop so you do not need to open the laptop. The VG2756 does not do this. You must open the laptop to power it on. It is an inconvenience but not a deal breaker. The biggest problem however was the lack of USB ports on the VG2756-2K. When using the USB-C for docking and power it leaves only 2 usable USB ports on the side of the monitor. You can add another 3 ports by connecting the VG2755-2K However the only way to do this is to connect to the side ports of the VG2756. This is not the prettiest of connections. If there had only been at least a single port on the bottom this issue wouldn't exist. Better still would be to pass the USB signal via the DisplayPort. At a minimum, there should be at least 4 or better 6 USB ports as the display is used as a dock. Beyond the lack of USB ports, this configuration is nice. For us, the cost was a big deciding factor. Docks are on the order of $200-$300 with the added cost of monitors in the same range. With the VG2x56 and VG2x55 setup we were able cut our costs with the integrated dock.

Basically this monitor is trying to be the Apple 27" display from years ago. Same high resolution/size/concept. However, this monitor is missing USB connections in the back. There are two usb connections on the side of the monitor the cables will stick out from the side and it is no longer a clutter-free look. These two side usb are normally ok for connecting temporary devices, since you will unplug them when you're done. Having only two USB connections may lead to you having to buy a USB hub , defeating the "dock" feature/selling point. It is a decent price for what you're getting but does not achieve the proposed clutter free / dock concept. Maybe next version gets it right. I would suggest adding USB and USB-C connections on the back. I was trying to compare other of their models but their pictures/descriptions/reading materials appear to have been produced in a lazy manner or weirdly targeted to a certain group. They appear incomplete or have omitted info and details so it was not so simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well rounded monitor for my office work and some light gaming. I couldn't be more pleased. I don't think I will ever buy a Samsung or LG again. If you want a monitor with a USB 3.0 hub, USB-C input, great picture, and a stand that practically lets you position your screen anyway you want.... GET THIS ONE. #sweepstakes
