[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my new ThinkPad P17 (17”) Mobile Workstation. The battery life is so much better than my last laptop. With lots of USB ports and just love the 4K monitor as it looks great. The only problem I had is activation of MS Office that took some doing to get it done. And to turn off the Touch Pad that was wrong in the manual, it has to be turned off in Windows Settings. The 4K monitor has make some of my software for Photoshop and On1, Lightroom looking so small but with a little adjustment everything is working great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my wife to use as a remote work system. She does architectural design and runs multiple CAD and other structural analysis applications at the same time. With the large screen and plenty of CPU and RAM it has no issues performing those tasks.
I needed a mobile workstation to take into the field for on-site 3D modeling.
Performance not quite as good as my high-end desktop, but very close. I repeat: it's VERY close to the performance of my desktop. I'm impressed.
Fan noise can get loud but is not constant. Mostly stays on desk as main PC and occasionally goes out to job. Super quiet otherwise.
OEM HDD is solid with no problems but still added a 1 TB Samsung 970 EVO plus. Plenty fast. Cold boot up less than 10 secs with biosensor fingerprint login.
Bought the usb-c dock but the current version can't charge it while connected - still need to plug in OEM charging brick.
Battery life is acceptable. Must use power settings to dial back performance on battery. 3 hours max on normal performance. I can see 6+ hours if I disable the RTX Quadro & use integrated CPU graphics, battery saver power mode, wifi only (disable 4G LTE), reduce resolution, and dim the screen. It's not apple level but it's definitely acceptable.
I had trouble finding a decent carrying case for it but eventually found one. It's heavy but you don't buy this mobile workstation for frequent travel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very Powerful laptop, with very large, very nice screen. This is a heavy monster of a laptop, but it brings desktop power and speed with it, so it is worth it, if that is what you need.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the laptop for a few weeks now, and put it through its paces. It has not disappointed at ANY turn. It's not the cheapest on the market, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
