[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Lenovo. I wanted another Lenovo because of the reliability, speed, durability and features. I use my laptop 40+ hours a week for business and it has held up with no issues for over 5 years. I highly recommend a Lenovo.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like my new P17 laptop a lot. I've had it about 3 weeks. I am in graduate school in landscape architecture and needed a laptop that could handle 3D rendering well. I did a lot of research and looked hard at Dell's Alienware Area 51m R2 with the max configurations. I liked that I could get it preloaded with 64GB of 2933MHZ DDR memory, the newest I9 CPU and the new 2080 GPU. But then, I decided to wait a day. I did some more research and found out a lot of the crashes other students complain about with their Dells are because it the i series processors don't support error correcting (ECC) memory. Only the Xeon series of processors do that. Then I started searching and found that the P17 is by far the best option available now with a Xeon that supports ECC memory. The only thing I don't like is that they only had prebuilt models in stock with 32GB of ECC memory and the 6 core Xeon® W-10855M. I would have liked one with 64GB and the newer 8 core version of the Xeon® W-10855M. But to get one custom built I would have had to give up discounts and possibly wait a couple of months.
Computer did not work. It would turn on but screen all black. They were very fast on taking care of it. Still waiting for a replacement computer.
