Does not work if you are outside the USA using 220V electricity. It does not charge!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using Thinkpads in mid 90ies. Protected by titanium frame - it was the only product on the market that could be dropped onto granite airport floor and still run. Since then - all my laptops are from the "portable workstation" line. It combines amazing physical resilience with robustness and flexibility. Everything "just works" - never a problem with a stray driver or a peripheral, never a failing patch, never and unexpected crash. I have probably seen a bluescreen maybe a dozen times in all these years, usually when the machine is nearing the end of its life (some of these Thinkpads served by 10+ years, I still have circa 7 of them old, but humming , serving as wireless print servers or tvboxes around the house.
This brand new P17 which now takes the place of my primary development machine continues the great tradition.
I would recommend this to a friend!
