[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's everything you'll need for school or to run a small business. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because i think it should be touchscreen.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only just got it so I haven’t had long to test it, but so far it is working very fast, long and reliable battery life.
The keyboard is a bit differently laid out than others which takes getting used to, but if that is the only “problem” I have with this, I’ll be happy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I;m pleased with the speed. However, the specs indicated battery life of 10-14 hours, yet my system says it would have about 7 hours, even after I did a battery reset.
It would help if Lenovo mentioned the Lenovo Migration Assistant as part of the setup information. I wasn't aware of its existence until I stumbled over it somewhere.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid, speedy, and robust laptop workstation. I'm using Adobe Creative Suite and it's much smoother and faster then my prior machine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far my new thinkpad P15s has done me very well. The keyboard is wonderful and fully fit the expectations I had based on the praise people give thinkpad keyboards, and the numberpad and other full-sized keyboard features are immensely valuable to me. The build is plastic but durable, and as I payed for performance rather than aesthetics I have no problem with that. I got the "low tier" screen, but it displays visuals perfectly well, and gets bright enough to use in the vast majority of situations. As for performance, it runs fast and performs as expected. The quadro P520 isn't near top-of-the-line but is much better then an iGPU on a budget, and can handle renders well. Oh and I can,t forget! The ports are great. LAN, USB A, USB C with thunderbolt, HDMI, optional smartcard reader, NFC. Only thing i wish it had was a full-sized SD slot, but that is barely a hindrance to me.
Only issues I had with the laptop were a slight click in the spacebar that went away in a short time, and that the touch-pad sits very slightly lower on the right side (a fraction of a millimetre - yet noticeable when bumping the seam during use) and can stutter with fine movements. This bothers me very little as I typically use a mouse and rarely notice either issue when I happen to use the touch-pad.
Other notes: The Intel i7 10510u runs very hot (100c on 3/4 load at times) when turbo boost activates. This appears to be a common issue with intel turbo boost in laptops, not sure if the thinkpad's cooling setup contributes to the issue.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast, light and powerful with 2 flaws: speakers are tin-y and when opening the top, the bottom pulls up, too, as weight needs to be split with more weight in the bottom or hinge needs to be softer. Otherwise, excellent resolution with outstanding features.

Great functioning laptop, but has annoying aspects that made it unusable as a laptop (probably would work at a docking station or as a desktop). The side fan on the right side of the laptop blows hot air onto anyone that is using the mouse in their right hand... first 10 minutes is fine... 10 - 30 minutes it gets uncomfortable... 30 minutes on gets pretty hot and extremely uncomfortable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
