After watching YouTube videos on comparing cell phones from i Phone 12, Sony, Google Pixel 5, Xiaomi, previous generation of Samsung phones, and others. Went with Samsung S21 ultra due to specs that includes 5g, camera - little overkill, battery size, potential s pen use, and the 512 gb storage (as the current trends for the two top competitors has no expandble micro sd slot for memory), and other features that one can see in Youtube reviews. The lack of 5 stars is due to no expandable micro sd slot for memory, no 3.5 mm jack for earphones, and no fast charger included with package. So, do your research and make a pros and cons list before figuring out which phone to upgrade or invest in if one is planning to do so. Also, 2021 just started and other cell phones are probably coming out soon .
As always, Samsung provides the best device. While the major updates to the camera features aren't important to me (I'm not a millennial), the other upgrades are significant enough to warrant a "bravo".
What I do find detrimental is that Samsung followed Apple's lead and did away with an audio jack. As a postman, I rely on my phone to get me through my day and, fecal matter happens, and sometimes I need to be able to plug in my wired earbuds to get through my route.
Other than that, another superb offering from one of the industry's best.
Went from the S9 to this one. I am so glad I did. I really didn't think there was going to be much difference between the S9 and this one other than the cameras. Boy was I wrong. So much faster. And the battery life is longer than the S9 I switched from. I used to get 10 hours on the S9 before I had to charge. With this one, I can go all day, and still have over 60% left.
If I had any negative thoughts is the charging cable is odd. Both ends are the same. I cannot figure out how to use it. Luckily my old one works for it. I could use the Wireless charger, but my case is to thick.
The biggest difference to me in the positive - its the screen with xtra refresh rate for gaming- in the minus - i would say the placement of the side buttons compared to my s10+ feel odd .. and my fingers constantly bump the cameras.. especially since it sticks out.. so it'll be a growing process
