Subpar build quality

I replaced a classic HiRise with this new HiRise Pro. The build quality of the new Pro is no where near as good as the previous generation. The rails around the shelf were starting to come apart before I even slid it in. One of the magnets detached and stuck to the face plate. Overall very disappointed and not up the usual quality I expect from Twelve South.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This HighRise was the perfect solution to my problem of having my iMac too low. I do audio/video restoration but my space is cramped and very limited and the only place for me to set my VHS tape player and DVD player were atop each other directly in front of the iMac, cutting off my viewing screen's bottom. The HighRise solved that and more. I love the engineering of it, with its precision craftsmanship. Okay, it's a bit expensive but if you do have a problem with viewing your iMac at the proper height, you won't regret having this, and of course, all my iMacs have a TwelveSouth Backpack on 'em. That's standard around here. thanks for a great product and also great, friendly customer service.

Rise above your desk for high-level viewing plus storage for all your important items at arms length away. Quality craftsmanship with sturdy construction will hold your monitor at high-level with multiple options and adjustments.

It is made of good solid material. I live in Southern California and we have occasional earthquakes so I wanted something sturdy to keep my Apple Studio Display from toppling over.

This stand works great at keeping my monitor at eye level. I was dealing with pain in my neck and since I bought this stand, the pain in my neck has not been as bad. The stand feels quality, I have no worries about anything breaking. It feels durable. The packaging it came in as well was premium, and a great unboxing experience.
