I love how i can taste the difference between the tap water and the zero water! It does filter rather slowly, but the first filter has lasted longer than i thought it would!

The last time I ordered these filters they lasted almost two months. I have exactly the same water supply, and the TDS has not risen at all. For this last shipment, the first filter was done after only three weeks, and I’m already on my second one. And our water use has actually declined.
So somehow, somewhere, the quality of these filters has declined terribly.

I've been using Zero water filters since I lived in Rocklin, California, I think around 2011 as their water was 267. I'm not totally sure, but I've never stopped using it. I lived in Henderson, NV for a little over a year as their tap water was at 435 and from there I went to Bend, Oregon and their water was at 41. Then traveled to Norman. Oklahoma and their water 235 an now I'm in Pearland, TX with the water at 162

Zero Filters Only Last a Week!

I’ve had a Zero Water filter for years and loved it. I stopped using for a couple of years bc I moved to an apartment that had a water filter system. I recently moved and started using the Zero Water filter and the new filters only last me a week before the water starts to taste sour. I’m only one person, and it’s completely ridiculous and wasteful that these filters have such a short life. I called Zero Water and they said it depends on the TDS in my area, well I tested it and it’s nothing crazy. So the fact that the filter goes bad so quickly is a joke. They definitely changed the quality of filters from years ago. They used to be the best and now they suck. No one should have to buy a new filter every week. It’s not only is it expensive, the filters aren’t recyclable and are considered land fill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems such as a Culligan Whole House Filter to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical.
There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

Love the clean taste. Love the fact that it has a tester and I can see that the filter works and when it needs to be replaced. With so many states on the news with drinking water contamination I really like the fact that I only use water from my zero water container. From coffee to my protein shakes and of course my drinking. I even tested the spring water I was buying weekly and it show a small amount of contaminants. No longer paying for spring water. I’ll put that money toward replacement filters and still save

One filter was no good so I deducted 1 star. It just would not screw in correctly and unfiltered water was escaping into the clean water area. I took out another new filter and it worked as it should.
