Best pitcher-style water filter I've found
on October 17, 2019

Length of ownership:3 months
I originally purchased three filters and a large 22-cup dispenser just to try it out. I'm happy I did! I recently bought another replacement pack because these filters just plain work. The lifespan isn't as long as I might like, but that's because the water where I live has a very high TDS, it's not the fault of the filters. All considered, it is still way cheaper than getting water in one of those big jugs.
This is by far the best pitcher-style water filter I've found. The other big names don't even filter the stuff I care about, like lead. The expensive under-the-sink contraptions are great, but I don't own a home and don't want to sink the money into one yet. These are the perfect middle for me: they filter the water very well, don't break the bank and are dead simple to use. The difference between drinking ZeroWater filtered water and tap is pretty shocking now! I didn't realize how nasty my water was!

They work well but are subject to air bubbles & need to be “belched” when this happens.

Love the taste

I live in an area where the water tastes awful. Not only will I not drink it, but it gives my dog (Onyx) stomach problems. I started using Zero water well over a year ago. I love the taste and Onyx's problems disappeared. I have two pitchers to keep up with the amount I need.
Thank you Zero Water!

Not Good: Cross Threading & Poor Filtering
on July 15, 2021

When I opened the package, the top inside part of the filter was torn like someone open/closed the lid really fast improperly. Assumed it's the cross threading they mentioned in the warning to avoid, so I proceed.
Another issue comes up. After running it through the first filtration, I add water and the meter reads ~250, so I refilter the water and it's at 161. Decide to just filter it 3x before drinking. A few weeks later, I use the meter ahain and after the first filter, it's at 102. Should it take this long to adjust? Should I just throw it out? Really don't want to waste the filter.

We apologize for the issue with the threading on this filter, just call customer service at 1-800-503-2939 and we will replace that for you.
The most accurate way to get reading is to test the water directly inside the pitcher. You can do this by removing the reservoir from the pitcher and sticking the meter in the filtered water sitting in the pitcher. If you get a 000 reading inside the pitcher it is possible that the cup or glass you were using before had soap residue on it causing the meter to read above 000.
If you are not getting 000 in the pitcher, try the following steps to see if you can get the filter to read 000 on the meter.
Dry off the filter with a clean paper towel. Then place the filter over a clean paper cup.
Run a small amount of water directly into the filter and test the water that collects into the cup. If the meter does not read 000 it is possible that unfiltered water got into the pitcher via a leak at the O-ring. In order for filtered water to read correctly there must be a perfect seal where the filter is screwed into the reservoir. Make sure the filter is screwed in from the bottom not dropped in from the top.

We love the TASTE

We purchased two of your products. The large square device to sit on the counter for cooking and room temp use and the smaller oval one for the fridge. Our larger one does not filter half as fast as the fridge one and it only fills the device 1/3 full.
Is this a filter issue?

A "must have" in ND
on November 15, 2017

Length of ownership:1 year or longer
I live in ND, a state with some of the most contaminated drinking water in the nation. My tap water consistently has a TDS Reading of around 305 before filtering. Thanks to the Zero Water filtration I am able to enjoy clean water. By myself I use at least 4 gallons of water throughout the day. Given the level of contamination of my tap water the filters last a reasonably amount of time.
I own one of the older 8-cup Zero Water pitchers, as well as the 30-cup dispenser, and I have a subscription to the Filter 4 Pack - 60 Day Filter Replacement Program. Of course, I do not change filters each time I reach 006 TDS, but wait until I reach between 50-100 TDS. I just cannot afford changing filters that often and even at a 100 TDS I am still much better off than drinking straight from the tap.
Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about Zero Water filtration and would recommend their filters to anyone. They are the best in the industry. Just keep in mind that the filter's are a little slow, because they actually filter out contaminants. Furthermore, filter life depends on the level of contamination of your tap water, as well as on the amount of water being filtered. Your filter will last about 10 times longer in states like Maine, SC, Oregon than they will in ND, Arizona or Nevada for example.

Filter last for only 2 weeks
on January 5, 2019

Length of ownership:3 months
I bought this filter when I shifted to new apartment. I used it for only 2 weeks then I notice water taste like acidic and smell like rotten fish, It took me 3-4 days to figure out that was caused by the filter. I barely drink water at home since I travel alot out. I am not sure why the filter life is very very less. I am not satisfied with the product due to the very short life of the filter. I will not recommend this product any one. I am not sure wheather its the issue with the filter I bought or with the company make.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
