Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. We empathize with your situation and we have spoken with many customers with this issue. Some of our customers have used other, traditional filtration systems to treat the water prior to filtering through a Zero Water filter, in many cases that will cut the TDS level down enough to make the use of Zero Water more economical.
There is very little we can do to extend the life of our filters when the water supply is so high in TDS. Our filters are designed to remove over 99% of dissolved solids; in areas with high TDS readings filter life will be short.

Also, if the filter is changed at the recommended 006ppm mark you can avoid any change in the taste of the water.

I love the largeness of the 40 container and that it’s glass not plastic, only thing I don’t like is the spout to pour water it’s kind of flimsy being plastic. If you don’t install perfectly it leaks. Just not the greatest

I really dislike the hard and heavy plastic casing that will last forever in the waste stream. I wish you could come up with something more sustainable. I will soon have a filter at my sink and will stop using your product.

Your product is sucks. The filters only work for short time then, the water taste like lemons. I will not purchase any longer.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Due to the amount of variables involved we try and stay away from using time to determine filter life, instead we use gallons, a more constant form of measurement. Filter life is based solely off of the quality of the water being filtered. The higher the tap water is in dissolved solids the shorter the filter life will be.
