Does not protect phone if dropped

Dropped my phone on a hard surface the day after I bought this phone case, and unfortunately, the glass on the front face of my iPhone 12 pro broke. This case does NOT protect the phone when dropped. The case looks nice, and it looks like the photos, but do not purchase this case if your goal is to protect your phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
