I had high expectations about this router, what are the issues:
First, the 5ghz band kept disconnecting my devices and couldn't connected them back. i reached out to asus support and they kind of fixed the problem, still my devices can stay connected to the 2.4g band or the 5g, every time i have to manually connect every single one. Very annoying and frustrating.

Everything so far on this router seems to be running very smoothly compared to other routers i have had in the past. The ONLY thing i really hate hate about it is the lack of wall mount that is securely mounted to the wall.. All they recommend is a wall hook and hang it drom that. I live near an airport and sometimes it vibrates my house and everything i have is secure mounted to the wall not just hanging there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't fool me now! With Speedtest and the ASUS app, I'm the master of my Wi-Fi Island and internet sees. I know who's on my network and how much bandwidth booty I'm missing the second it gets throttled. I love it, so far!

Works almost exactly as the RT-AC86U it replaced. So much so, it took the backup configuration file I made in 2019. It made migrating this new device into the mesh network simple and quick. Sad to lose the tiny little white or red LEDs that actually provided some useful information, but otherwise, it's working great.
