H&R Block made my taxes so easy

I used H&R Block for 2015 and decided to use them again for 2016. I'm happy I did. Made the process with all the tax forms so much simpler - ultimately saved me a ton of time. Thank you!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare

HR Block tax return for 2016

The software worked fine for the most part. I wish the married filing jointly or separately comparison worked better. It did not really compare well. I also was disappointed that it did not warn me that I already sent my state tax refund electronically, so i got charged twice.

Overall easy to use BUT poor dependents questions

I like the features and it is generally easy to use. However, I went through the simple questions on my daughter, and the program added her as a dependent. My independent tax reviewer flagged that she is probably NOT a dependent, and she is not. The IRS and H&R Block instructions properly describe the criteria, but I was misled by the questions which didn't ask about her income.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

A Friend to Have in April

I purchased my program in January thinking I would do taxes in February (after receiving all paperwork necessary for the task). As usual I prepared my taxes close to the deadline. The program was a friend to help me complete the task thoroughly and quickly!!
Cons: Time consuming
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import

I have been using this program for several years, many of my family members use it as well. The program is very thorough, easy to follow and easy to use. I have only one complaint - allocating part of refund to purchase savings bonds is too difficult - please make that step as simple and easy as the rest of the program!!!

Used H&R block last year, very happy. However - this year, I have to e-file 3 times, the AGI from last year did not pull over correctly, also the pins was not clear to enter last years pins. These constant re-e-files caused my taxes to be late. Very dis-appointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

overall does a great job but it had glitches

we had to file 2 state returns and i couldn't find how to get to the other return that we bought. i tried the help box but it had me go through steps to log into my account that my husband had set up so i didn't have the password or sign on ID. i was using logged into this software and I should just be able to ask a question while in the program. there was no way to email or phone without logging in again.
then the MI state return glitched out ....I had a move in date but left the move out dates empty.. the error check said that it was wrong and the and end date must be put in..when i did that it didn't like the date and kept saying it was incorrect. i left it to go back to the federal and CT returns but it kept popping up stopping me from completing our returns on time to be mailed and I had finished them. I was just doing error checks. my husband had to delete the file and restart it. Needless to say we had to pay to file both state returns because we missed the deadline.
I would like better access.ie a phone number to call that is directly in the program or a chat room directly connected to the help icon. you should not have to log in again to get assistance.
