I have used HRBlock for years. One complaint I have is that they do not give enough information for stock investors. I have to manually enter my data as I do so many trades. There should be better instructions for manually entering group trades.

This program is adequate for basic taxes. I bought it because it says it can handle K-1 statements, but it can't handle them all. All of my K-1's had a few boxes with letters in them. These require additional input that the program said is beyond its scope and offered no solution - just left me hanging.
Also, I could not find a way to print (both hardcopy and pdf) my return without my full SSN on it for my records.
Also, I could not figure out how to clear the items that required data verification and several of those were my first name, which I assumed were auto populated on each form. So I just left them as is.

I purchased Block’s premium software just days ago. It took a few moments to download. Since I have used them in previous years they already had my basic information in the system for which they just imported it to my new file. Other than a few minor input errors on my behalf having to be corrected everything went smoothly. It is now just three days later after I e-filed my taxes and my state tax refund has already been deposited into my bank account. I love how easy the whole process is for me doing this on my own with their assistance.
