I am a long time user of the Premium version and appreciate the ability to file self employment income. I will say I am under impressed with the availability to get answers to tax questions when needed. The chat feature is very limited and am unable to reach any assistance by phone.

Hr block sucks. Overly complicated, worse UI than the competitor and more expensive than other options. Chat support is useless. Use something else
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Doing taxes is getting so confusing. I was having some problems locating where to enter certain 1099s. Doing a search wasn't always helpful. Otherwise, the program worked as it should, and I was able to e-file this year unlike last year, when I had to mail my return due to a certain form. This year I had no problem even though I had to fill out the form again this year.

I have used H & R Block software for over 10 years. I tried working with the program this year for over 2 weeks, but it was constantly glitching (#s changing, errors showing but nothing highlighted and sometimes the form not even shown ie there is an X error on the form below, but no form). I spoke with 3 support people about the software issue until the 3rd let me download the program again with a new code. Still having problems, I ended up purchasing TurboTax which helped me figure out some of the errors with the taxes/program, but still had to send it with several warnings I could not find. Not sure I will use H & R in the future.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
