Great software, but often a glitch each year!

I love the software and will continue to use it. However, I wish the company would strive to double-check for errors before marketing the product. Each year there is at least one glitch. This year the previous year's AGI total that was carried forward to use as identification for electronic filing was inaccurate. I had to manually override that amount in order to submit the correct figure; otherwise, my return would have been rejected electronically! Other years, some figures which transfer to the state forms have either been omitted or incorrect. A little more careful proofreading and testing of the product before selling would be appreciated. I also wish there would be an option to import 1099-B sales in a grouped format, rather than import each individual sale for the entire year.

the better choice for 2017

Bought tax cut and Hand R block this year. H and R is the clear winner. I ran out of efiles on tax cut and the program would not let me pay for more. HandR allows this and if I had known ahead of time, i would have only needed to purchase this one!!
Pros: Easy to prepare

This is for VA State Return. Form CR Food Crop Donation. New reules that require filing by Feb 1 of the year and additional forms to take the donation are required. The text from the Sch CR is below. It would be helpful if the program calls these deadlines out and notfieis the user about the requirement. At least a notification during the accuracy check would help.
The nonprofit food bank must supply a completed Virginia Food Crop Donation Certificate (Form FCD-2) to the donor. The FCD-2 must be prepared and furnished by the nonprofit food bank to the donor within 30 days of the date of the donation.
The business must apply for the credit by February 1 using Form FCD-1. Submitting a late application will disqualify you from the credit. All applications must be sent to the Virginia Department of Taxation, Tax Credit Unit, P.O. Box 715, Richmond, VA 23218-0715
