I’ve used H&R Block software for years and have always been pleased. Some of the explanations of sections aren’t as “explanatory” as they could be. Some are hard to understand or don’t go into enough detail.

CANNOT PRINT OFF PROPERLY

I filed for both my son and myself. When I try to print I only get about 1/4 of the page in huge letters. I've tried from the app and from my saved pdf. Both turn out the same.I need copies for my files and this is useless for that purpose. The quality for preparation is great, but if I cannot get a copy, it is disturbing. I need a copy for my student loans and my refinance on my house. I also found nowhere to enter my PMI on my mortgage.

I have filed both this return for my son and my return and neither of them print off normally. Huge print and only a partial page. I need them for my records, but they are useless. I have tried everything with my printer to fix the problem, but they show up both on the app and in my saved file the same way.

This year's version seemed buggier than usual

It took multiple tries to install a federal update at one point, the program crashed a couple of times, and it took three tries to submit my returns electronically when I was done with them. (I had to cycle through three different wi-fi connections and "We're having trouble making a connection between your software and our server" errors before the returns were submitted.) Also, I wasn't able to use a two-word city name in one field. But other than those complaints, the software worked well and continues to be pretty intuitive as it walks you through the forms and returns, and the way it imports data from previous years is very helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Problem when installed

I have been buying your program for years. This year when I installed my premium program my Business return was not on the business return but was located on a 1040. This is a sub S business and should have been installed on the business program. Not only that, there is no return on my 2021 business program. What happened? All I did was install the programs and this happened. This has created a problem. How can a business return end up on the 1040 program, I have completed my 1040 return and had no problems in doing so.

I have used H&R Block for a number of years and am very happy with it. It is easy to understand and very accurate. The Premium version has all of the capability I need for rental property. I switched from a competitor S/W because the competitor modified their S/W, taking away those features I need. I rely on H&R Block Premium as my go to tax software that will keep all of the capability I need.
