Terrible software

Too many glitches that constantly makes it crash. Also wouldn’t let me do direct deposit. Took way longer to file because of this than it should have.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing lack of support for eco-credits

I've used this software for many years, from back when it was called "Tax Cut" to the latest version. I've stuck with it for a long time because I knew the system, but it really seems to have stagnated in its development. Last year I ran into problems of a lack of support for solar credits in my state return. This year that was compounded with a similar lack of form 8911, which includes credits for a car charger. The solution (if you can call it that) is to have to figure out the form separately, then dig around in form 3800 to manually add in the credit.
Needless to say, both these problems mean I'm unable to e-file this year, which is one of the prime reasons for using tax software.
Certainly cheaper than hiring an accountant, but there are other products out there that apparently do better on these kinds of tax credits. This product does not live up to the "Premium" label in its name.

import worked well

I tried the import function this year and it worked well. It is a bit laborious to check the imported items, and it could be easier to print a single page as I am going through the interview. Navigating back to parts ot schedule C is awkward.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dated interface but program works as always

I've been using H&R Block tax software for years, but will probably switch to TurboTax or similar next year. My big beef with the H&R Block software is the dated interface. I have a large, high resolution monitor and the font on the software is SMALL. There's no way to adjust the size of the text within the program, and by default it's pretty small. The program needs a refresh regardless of font size.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Founda glitch in the software. The was an x in the1040 1-3 that was marked tentative but was not colored like other tentatives, so, was not easy to find. After I discovered it was tentative, the program would not let me unmark it. So, I had to submit it marked tentative
Cons: Hard to import documents
