Software Update Changed Federal Tax Return

I have used H&R software for years but for 2021 something strange happened. I finished and transmitted my 2021 return in February. An update to the software was downloaded in March that actually changed the calculation for the State & Local Tax deduction on Federal Schedule A. Although this resulted in a Tax Due change of only $2 it caused me to lose confidence in the accuracy of the software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy steps to prepare your tax return

We are using H&R Block softwares for many years, and we found them very trustworthy. The steps are easy to follow, the search and links features are very useful, and the instructions are clear and accurate.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

This is the eighth year I have used H&R Block software for my federal and state taxes. Based upon past experience I will continue to rely on H&R Block.

SUCKS BUYING IT TWICE

My hard drive crashed and had to be replaced(not Block's fault) however I couldn't reach a service rep to reinstall. So had to repurchase.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Download issues

I have used the Premium & Business versions of your programs for several years with mostly good success. This was the first year it was only available as a download install which turned out to be very difficult to accomplish. I wish you would continue to offer a simple CD version as they are much more reliable.

Good for self-employed filing

Federal worked well, but kept wanting the deceased person's SSN even when I kept saying it does not apply. This warning would not go away.
State had a small glitch, I gave some final contributions of $5 but they did not deduct from my refund, and the final report said I gave 0 contributions.

AGI & e-file syncing

Same issue two years running. Correct AGI not accepted causing e-file to fail.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
