Erroneous calculation

I had the same taxable income and the program came up with different calculations!!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Great and easy to use

I have been using H&R Block software for many years and like the ease of use and the support available if needed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to Use, Informative, Written Clearly

I have used H&R Block tax preparation software for about 10 years. For a few months I also worked for TurboTax as an expert. Intuit probably throws more money at promoting its product, but personally I like the H&R Block interview better. It is straightforward and clear, and it leaves the great complexities of the Internal Revenue Code to links in the footnotes. It may or may not flag all of the many possibilities for deductions and credits, but that's to be expected. This year I was displeased by the lack of a clear opportunity to review my federal and state returns before filing electronically. I probably spent more time reviewing after I filed and my filing was rejected because the IRS apparently has still not worked its way through its paper filing backlog to reach my mailed-in 1040 for last year, so the AGI I provided failed to match with the zero in the IRS's database. I don't blame Block for that, of course, but it did make for some anxious moments until, at the bottom of Block's error message, appeared the suggestion to change AGI to zero if the IRS still has not processed the prior year's return, which I confirmed when I sought to obtain a transcript. That wasted some time. Finally, this year Schwab and Block have apparently not agreed on protocols for the downloading of client information. I don't know whether that is a plus or a minus for Block, but I mention it. Buy Block and you may have to manually enter your securities transactions for 2021.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Will not import Charles Schwab 1099

Software has been fine for years, but this year it will not import Charles Schwab 1099's, and they have no information on if or when it will.

FIX THIS!!!!!! Charles Schwab is one of the largest brokerages in the country. I bought the Premium software thinking it would handle all my brokerage needs, BUT I had to enter the info MANUALLY! WHY?! I'm retired and my DIVs and RMDs are important assets. FIX THIS, otherwise I have to use some other software.

Please add Charles Schwab

I've been using your software for over 15 years. This year we couldn't download Charles Schwab data into the software so we had to do it manually. Schwab is our main account, next year I'm going to switch to Turbo Tax if it's not supported.
