Great except for trying to pay state taxes due

Good software. One big issue. Filed fed and state both at same time. Getting refund with fed and had balance due with state. Went to pay state after receiving federal refund, and simply could never find a way to do it. Got to the form indicating my bank information, but could never get to the actual submission or confirmation. Big problem
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use

As in the pass I have bought H&R software in November/December. Then in January/February I can easily update it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Chat support didn't work, but filed my federal tax

Smooth and quick tax software, but couldn't file my state tax (even though it was included in this package). Called support, they linked me to download the Ohio state package (already had it), just to hang up on me before I could ask any more questions or see if it worked for me. Not very happy about that, but I just filed separately though the Ohio website. Chat support in the application didn't work either, so that needs sorted out. Either way, not bad.
Pros: Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

The overall package is excellent, and the on-line live chat support was superb.
Only one suggestion. Because the generous standard deduction has made it simpler to file your taxes, I'd like to see an option in the early phases that asks if that is your filing intention, so that the software would skip the unnecessary interactive pieces.

This software worked very well for me. It was mostly intuitive with a few small glitches that were pretty easy to figure out.
Pros: Maximizes refund
